Account & data
Delete your account
You can close your InstaOrder vendor account and have the personal data held against it deleted. Here is exactly how, and exactly what happens.
How to request deletion
Send an email to it@instaorder.app from any address, with:
- the mobile number registered on the account;
- your business name as it appears in the app; and
- the words “delete my account”.
We will reply to confirm, then send a one-time code to that registered number to verify the request really comes from the account holder. Once you confirm the code, deletion proceeds.
If you would rather ask by phone, call [SUPPORT PHONE] during business hours. The same verification applies.
What gets deleted
- Your account and login credentials, and your ability to sign in.
- Your business profile: name, owner name, address, email, business type and the map coordinates of your shop.
- Your notification tokens, so the app stops receiving pushes immediately.
- Support correspondence, once any open matter is closed.
What we keep, and why
Some records are not deleted straight away, because we still need them to keep our accounts straight and to settle anything outstanding. They are held separately, are not used for any other purpose, and are removed once that reason has passed.
- Trip, order and wallet records — kept while they are still needed for accounting.
- Invoices, statements and settlements — kept while the account has anything outstanding.
- Anything needed for an open dispute — kept until it is resolved.
If your wallet holds a balance, or your account carries an unpaid charge, we will settle that with you before the account is closed.
Other options
You do not have to delete the whole account to limit what we hold. You can also ask us to correct your data, send you a copy of it, or stop sending you marketing — see Section 11 of the vendor policy or Section 12 of the courier policy. Turning off a device permission in Settings > Permissions stops that data being collected without touching your account.
